Apple Unveils Screen Customization Enhancements with iOS 18

Islamabad: Apple has introduced significant enhancements to home screen customization with the release of iOS 18.
For the first time, iPhone users can now adjust widget sizes directly from their home screens, a feature previously exclusive to iPadOS.
The new functionality is activated in “jiggle mode,” where a handle appears in the lower-right corner of widgets.Users can drag this handle to resize widgets according to their preferences.
Additionally, long-pressing on a widget now reveals various size options, allowing users to select the most suitable size with a single tap.
Moreover, the same menu offers the ability to convert widgets into app icons and vice versa, providing more flexibility in organizing the home screen. Users can also long-press on an app icon that supports widgets to instantly create a widget from the app, streamlining the customization process.
The iOS 18 public beta is now available, enabling users to explore and test these innovative new features.
