Apple to Unveil Revolutionary Foldable iPhone by 2026

Islamabad: Apple is working on a foldable iPhone, expected to debut by 2026. This would be the most significant hardware redesign for the flagship device.

Reports suggest that Apple, valued at $3.46 trillion and based in California, has reached out to Asian suppliers for components. The new device is rumored to have a clamshell design, codenamed “V68,” which folds vertically from top to bottom, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip.

Samsung, which introduced foldable phones in 2019, has seen success with its models, priced between $850 and $1,900. Apple’s foldable iPhone, having moved past the conceptual stage, aims to incorporate AI-driven features to enhance appeal amidst competitive pressure from Honor, Huawei, and Samsung.

Additionally, Apple is looking to improve iPhone camera capabilities, potentially introducing a mechanical aperture system for depth-of-field effects. Production of a foldable iPhone may take longer than the typical 24-month timeline for standard models.

However, the release of this device is not yet certain. If it does launch, it could represent a transformative shift comparable to the 2007 debut of the original iPhone.
