Islamabad: Apple has introduced the most affordable model of the iPhone 16 series, offering users a budget-friendly option with modern features. The new iPhone 16e will be available in black and white across various countries starting February 28, with a starting price of $599.

According to Apple, the iPhone 16e boasts a sleek design similar to the standard iPhone 16 while incorporating updated features. It comes with a 48-megapixel camera, a 6.1-inch OLED display, and iOS 18, bringing AI-powered enhancements.

Apple claims that the iPhone 16e offers the best battery life ever, lasting six hours longer than previous models on a single charge. Additionally, it features a newly introduced action button on the side, though it cannot be used for camera controls.

For the first time, Apple has developed its own modem for this iPhone, enabling satellite-based features such as Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My Phone without traditional network coverage.

Following the launch, social media has been buzzing with reactions. While some users are comparing the iPhone 16e to the upcoming Samsung S25, others have joked that the announcement feels like an early April Fool’s prank.
