Apple iPhone 17 Prices Leak: Minor Hikes, Bigger Storage

News Desk

Islamabad: Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 lineup has been the subject of speculation regarding potential price changes, but a new research note from JPMorgan suggests the impact may be less significant than initially anticipated.

According to the report, the iPhone 17 Pro is likely to cost $100 more than its predecessor, starting at $1,199. However, the base model will now include 256GB of storage, compared to the 128GB offered with the iPhone 16 Pro. This means the increase may not translate into a real cost difference for users choosing equivalent storage.

The standard iPhone 17 is expected to launch at $799, the same price as the iPhone 16, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max is also projected to maintain its $1,199 starting price, with 256GB of storage as standard.

Apple will also introduce a new model, the iPhone 17 Air, replacing the iPhone 16 Plus. It could debut at $899, or slightly higher at $949, with Apple potentially justifying the premium through its ultra-thin design and extensive R&D investments.

These pricing estimates apply to the US market, though it remains uncertain whether similar structures will be adopted globally. Apple has yet to confirm any official details, with the iPhone 17 series scheduled for launch on September 9, where final pricing and specifications will be revealed.
