Another Verbal Altercation Between Woman, Policeman on Motorway

News Desk

Islamabad: Another incident of confrontation occurred between a female driver and a policeman on the motorway.

The Motorway Police reported that the heated verbal exchange occurred when the officer pulled over the woman for speeding in Kallar Kahar, Chakwal district, Punjab.

The woman was accused of behaving rudely towards the officer during the stop.

However, in her video statement, the female driver claimed that the policeman verbally abused her during the stop and even attempted to take her phone away when she tried to record the incident. She also mentioned sustaining injuries.

It’s worth noting that on January 2, 2024, the same woman was arrested by Rawalpindi police in Islamabad after fleeing the scene of a collision with another vehicle. She was then sent to Adiala jail for a 14-day judicial remand.

The woman involved in the earlier incident with the highway police officer was apprehended in Islamabad, and her vehicle was recovered.

Authorities stated that an officer was injured during the altercation, and the woman faces charges including government vehicle interference, attempted murder, assault, and resisting arrest.
