Another Spell Of Rain-Wind, Hailstorm Likely To Begin In KP
News Desk
Abbottabad/Peshawar/Karachi: The Meteorological Department forecasted that the Hazara division and other districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa would experience another spell of heavy rain, wind, and hailstorms from March 28 to 31. Meanwhile, the Met Office predicted cloudy and partly cloudy weather across Sindh and KP, respectively, during the next 24 hours.
The Met Office stated that a westerly wave is expected to enter the upper parts of the country and likely grip the region on March 29 and last until March 31. Under the influence of the weather system, heavy rain, hail, and thunderstorms may cause flash floods and landslides, and it is anticipated that this spell will significantly lower the district’s temperatures.
The Met Department further said that strong winds and hailstorms may damage infrastructure, standing crops, and fruit orchards.
National and international tourists travelling to Abbottabad, Galiyat, Thandyani, and other hilly areas of Hazara division are requested to be aware of the weather conditions and contact the District Control Room at 09929310553, Rescue 1122, or Services 1122 in case of emergency.
