ANF Seizes Over 83 kg of Drugs, Arrests 7 Suspects

Rawalpindi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted six successful operations, seizing over 83 kilograms of drugs worth approximately Rs 10 million and arresting seven suspects, according to an ANF spokesman on Wednesday.

In one operation, 1.2 kg of hashish was recovered from an accused arrested on the KKH Road in Haripur. The suspect reportedly admitted to selling drugs to students of local educational institutions.

Another operation at Peshawar International Airport led to the recovery of 2 kg of heroin and 1 kg of ice from a passenger’s trolley bag en route to Doha.

Near Ravi Toll Plaza in Lahore, ANF recovered 43.2 kg of hashish and 16.8 kg of opium concealed in secret cavities of a vehicle. One suspect was arrested in connection with the haul.

In Sargodha, 13.2 kg of hashish was seized from a drug dealer arrested near Kot Momin, while two other suspects were apprehended on the M-1 Motorway in Islamabad with 4.6 kg of hashish.

Additionally, 1.3 kg of ice was recovered from a suspect arrested on Sakhi Sarwar Road in Dera Ghazi Khan.

The arrested individuals have been charged under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
