ANF Seizes 86 kg of Narcotics, Arrests 11 Suspects

Rawalpindi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has reported significant successes in combating drug trafficking with five operations resulting in the seizure of over 86 kg of narcotics and the arrest of 11 suspects, according to a spokesman at ANF Headquarters on Monday.

In Karachi, ANF intercepted a parcel bound for Bahrain at Karachi Airport, uncovering 810 grams of ice concealed within.

Near a college in Peshawar, ANF apprehended an individual found in possession of 150 intoxicated tablets, highlighting efforts to curb local drug distribution networks.

In Kasur, ANF intercepted and searched vehicles, leading to the discovery of 15.6 kg of opium, 8.4 kg of hashish, and 7 kg of ice. Seven individuals were apprehended during this operation, underscoring ANF’s proactive stance against drug smuggling across provincial borders.

A separate operation in Faisalabad resulted in the confiscation of 34.8 kg of opium, 17.1 kg of hashish, and 1 kg of suspicious material. Two suspects were taken into custody, with investigations ongoing to dismantle larger drug syndicates operating in the region.

In Al-Asif Square Karachi, ANF seized 2.2 kg of cannabis from an individual during a targeted operation aimed at disrupting local drug peddling activities.

All arrested individuals have been charged under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and ANF continues to investigate leads to further dismantle drug networks nationwide.
