ANF Intensifies Crackdown on Drug Supply in Twin Cities’ Institutions

Islamabad: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 2.4 kg of hashish from a student of BS Computer Science at a local university during a crackdown on drug supply in educational institutions in the Twin Cities.
The accused was apprehended near Waheedabad Colony on Lehtrar Road and confessed to supplying drugs to various hostels.
Drug distribution in educational settings obstructs academic progress, and the agency is determined to apprehend those involved.
The press release stated the detrimental impact of drug involvement on youth and urged cooperation from parents and teachers in combating drug trafficking.
To uphold the integrity of educational institutions, it’s imperative for administrations to closely monitor student and residential hostels.
In another operation targeting drug trafficking, the agency seized over 716 kg of drugs and apprehended six individuals.
Among the seizures, 745 grams of ice were confiscated from a passenger bound for Doha at Peshawar Airport, 200 grams of cocaine were intercepted from a parcel destined for Karachi at the cargo office in Lahore, and 150 kg of heroin along with 166 kg of morphine were recovered from Chaman.
Additionally, 110 kg of heroin and 52 kg of morphine were seized from Yaro Pishin, 100 kg of hashish from RCD Road Lasbela, and 70 kg of hashish along with 6.2 kg of opium from two suspects in Pindi Bhattian, Hafizabad.
Other seizures include 50.4 kg of hashish from an individual on North Bypass Karachi, 30 kg of hashish from two suspects near Burhan Interchange Attock, and 11 kg of hashish from Orakzai. Cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been registered against the arrested individuals, and investigations are underway.
