Quetta: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Monday arrested four smugglers while recovering more than two drugs worth millions of rupees in a special raid.
The operation was carried out on the Western Bypass near Mengalabad Quetta based on information from ANF intelligence when the smugglers were trying to smuggle drugs in a loaded truck from across the border.
ANF officials recovered 2,330 kg of hashish which were hidden in secret chambers of a cement mixture machine installed on a truck.
Another vehicle, along with a truck, was also taken into custody and two people were escorting the truck for clearance at the checkpoints. However, the ANF officials arrested all four accused, belonging to Qilla Abdullah, Quetta, and Chaman.
The accused were trying to smuggle drugs into interior Sindh via Chaman but they were caught red-handed, and a case under the Anti-Narcotics Act was registered.
