Ali Zafar Teases Fans with First Album in Over a Decade
News Desk
Islamabad: Pakistani superstar Ali Zafar is officially returning to the music scene with ‘Roshni’, his long-awaited fourth studio album — dropping on December 20, 2025, after a massive 15-year gap. The singer confirmed the news on X, writing: “My 4th album ‘Roshni’ to release 20th December. Watch out this space.”
The excitement only intensified after Zafar reiterated the announcement in a new promo for Lahore’s highly anticipated Soulfest 2025, taking place from December 19 to 21. Zafar revealed he will perform songs from ‘Roshni’ live for the very first time on December 21, turning the festival into a major moment for fans.
A Long-Awaited Musical Comeback
The announcement marks a major milestone in Zafar’s career — his return to full-length albums since Jhoom in 2011. He has already teased fans with the first single, “Zalim Nazron Se,” released in late November, offering the earliest glimpse of the new sound.
In recent months, Zafar has been dropping hints at live shows, performing unreleased tracks at big events, including the DP World ILT20 opening ceremony, giving selected audiences a preview of the album’s vibe and themes.
Streaming platforms are expected to share tracklists and pre-save links soon, while fans rely on the first single and live teasers to build anticipation.
A Two-Decade Legacy of Versatility
Ali Zafar remains one of South Asia’s most multifaceted entertainers — a singer, songwriter, actor, painter, and live performer. His career took off with the smash-hit debut album Huqa Pani (2003), led by the iconic “Channo,” which sold millions and won Best Album at the Lux Style Awards.
He went on to deliver chart-topping tracks like “Masty,” “Dekha,” and countless others across albums Masty (2006) and Jhoom (2011).
Zafar expanded his stardom into acting, earning praise in Bollywood through films such as Tere Bin Laden, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, London, Paris, New York, and Chashme Baddoor. In Pakistan, he produced and starred in the blockbuster Teefa in Trouble (2018).
Over his two-decade journey, Zafar has earned numerous accolades — from Lux Style Awards to MTV honours and even national civilian recognition for his contributions to the arts.
A Bright New Chapter Begins
With Roshni, Ali Zafar is set to close out 2025 on a high note — delivering fresh music, a high-energy festival performance, and a long-awaited comeback fans have been craving for over a decade.
