Alhamra’s Guitar & Violin Concert Showcased Emerging Talents

Lahore: Alhamra lit up the stage with exceptional performances by guitarist Sajjad Tafu and violinist Abdul Wahab, whose mastery captivated the audience. Emerging stars from Alhamra Academy also delivered performances that resonated with the audience.

Academy Supervisor Naveen Rooma highlighted the academy’s focus on both practical and theoretical music education, particularly in preserving and promoting rare musical instruments that are gradually fading from public view.

The evening paid tribute to Pakistan’s music giants, with Sajjad Tafu delivering stunning renditions of classics by Master Inayat, Master Abdul Rehman, Akhtar Hussain, and  Ashraf. Abdul Wahab’s violin performance further showcased the enduring legacy of his craft.

Chairman Razi Ahmed and Executive Director Sarah Rashid reaffirmed Alhamra’s dedication to preserving Pakistan’s rich musical heritage. The concert not only highlighted established legends but also promising new talent, underscoring Alhamra’s role in fostering the arts.

Young artists performing at the concert expressed pride and honour in their opportunity to showcase their talents.
