Aleem Khan Announces Milestones in Motorway Expansion

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, revealed significant progress regarding the expansion of the motorway from Mansehra to Gilgit, Babu Sar top, and the Skardu region.
He made this announcement during his address at the 14th passing-out ceremony of 289 police officers held at the NHMP Training College in Sheikhupura.
Among the attendees were Federal Secretary of Communication Ali Sher Mehsud, IG Salman Chaudhry, Additional IG Ali Saber Kayani, Commandant DIG Syed Hashmat Kamal, patrol officers, and their families, as mentioned in a press release.
The minister emphasized plans to deploy Motorway Police to Gwadar and Karakoram areas, stressing the institution’s integrity and its role in promoting integrity within the community.
He highlighted the significance of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in advancing prosperity for Pakistan and reiterated commitments to strengthening institutions, ensuring a quality selection process, and providing comprehensive training to officers.
Additionally, the minister announced an extra one-month extension for training completion and salary increments for officers.
IG Salman Chaudhry of the Motorway Police praised the force’s dedication despite limited resources and commended Commandant College Syed Hashmat Kamal for their training initiatives.
DIG Syed Hashmat Kamal, Commandant of the Training College, expressed appreciation for the acknowledgement and stressed the importance of personality development alongside professional training.
During the ceremony, Patrol Officer Faisal Mehmood Khan achieved the All-Round First position, Honor Cap Yasmin Nawaz secured second place, Patrol Officer Kamran Shabir received the award for best academics, and Anees Ul Islam was recognized for the best fire performance.
Patrol Officers Farqan Ali and Tahira Noor Sabri were also commended for their outstanding parade skills, while Taj Nabi received the award for best discipline.
Aleem Khan paid tribute to the martyrs by laying a wreath in their memory during the event.
