AIOU Opens Admissions for Four B.Ed Programs for Autumn 2025

Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), widely recognized for its leadership in teacher education, has announced admissions for four B.Ed programs for the Autumn 2025 semester.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the university is offering B.Ed programs of varying durations — 1.5 years, 2 years, 2.5 years, and 4 years — to cater to the academic backgrounds of diverse student groups.

The 1.5-year B.Ed program is open to candidates who have completed BS, MA, or MSc degrees, while the 2-year program is designed for those with an Associate Degree in Education. Students holding a BA, BSc, or Associate Degree in other disciplines can apply for the 2.5-year program. The 4-year B.Ed is tailored for candidates who have passed their Intermediate (12th grade) examinations.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood said that the university’s mission is to deliver quality education and produce professionally trained teachers. “These diversified B.Ed programs are aligned with that mission and represent AIOU’s ongoing commitment to building a better educational future for Pakistan,” he added.

Over the years, AIOU has contributed significantly to Pakistan’s education sector, with millions of trained teachers now serving in schools, colleges, and universities nationwide. Thousands of new students continue to enroll each year, reflecting the university’s reputation for trust and quality education.
