AIOU Announces Spring 2026 Admissions Schedule

Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced that admissions for the Spring Semester 2026 will open from January 1, 2026, simultaneously across the country for all academic programmes ranging from Matriculation to PhD level.

According to a press release issued on Sunday, the admissions facility will be available in all four provinces, as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and the northern areas.

The university is also offering a range of academic programmes for Pakistanis residing abroad and international students, enabling wider access to AIOU’s distance learning system.

The university administration said that admission forms and prospectuses for all programmes will be available online from January 1 on the official AIOU website, allowing students to apply conveniently from their homes.

To facilitate applicants, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nasir Mahmood has issued special instructions to the heads of AIOU’s 53 regional offices to establish Student Facilitation Centers at all regional campuses before the start of the admissions process.

These centers will provide complete guidance to students and offer free computer and internet facilities to ensure smooth online application submission. The initiative aims to enhance access to education and minimize difficulties for applicants, the administration added.
