A ministry official informed that a letter has been written to the heads of federal health establishments in this regard by the ministry and directed them to take special measures.
According to standard operating procedures, all hospitals have been urged to make sure that a significant number of beds are allocated to wards, particularly isolated wards, said the official.
Similar to this, hospital administrators have been told to make sure that the necessary staff, screening, and testing facilities, as well as medicines and other necessities for dengue treatment and prevention, are available.
NHSRC Minister Abdul Qadir Patel ordered to utilise all available resources to manage dengue cases in all four provinces along with Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Patel stated that these actions are required to safeguard citizens and guarantee free medical care for dengue patients.
