AI Features Likely To Be Offered on YouTube

Islamabad: Meta’s integration of AI chatbots across its platforms, including WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, has spurred speculation that YouTube will follow suit by introducing similar AI bots.

While YouTube announced the commencement of AI tool testing on the platform back in November 2023, it appears that these tools are now poised for broader testing.

Reports suggest that YouTube will unveil an AI assistant tool enabling users to obtain information through messaging.

This feature is expected to include an “Ask AI” tab accessible on both the YouTube application and desktop versions. Users will be able to pose questions and receive relevant information in response.

The proposed feature could offer users the option to access questions or information via voice commands. Users would also have the ability to inquire about details related to each video, such as whether the content is authentic or AI-generated, or where it was filmed.

This feature is anticipated to launch on YouTube within the coming months.
