Agri Deptt to Hold Wheat Production Competition

Faisalabad: In an effort to address food security concerns, the Agriculture Department has announced a wheat production competition slated for 2023–24.

Aspiring wheat farmers can submit their applications starting January 31 for the upcoming competition.

Eligibility extends to growers with 5 acres or more of irrigated land. At the district level, the top three position holders will receive prizes.

Application forms are available free of charge at the offices of the agriculture officer (extension) and assistant director of agriculture (extension).

Additionally, they can be downloaded from the website www.agripunjab.gov.pk. Photocopies of the form will also be accepted.

The deadline for applications is January 31. For further details, individuals may reach out to the agriculture department during office hours or contact the agri-helpline at 0800–1700, Monday to Friday.
