After Beating India, Pakistan Eyes PSL Comeback
News Desk
Islamabad: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is expected to resume shortly following Pakistan’s thrilling victory over arch-rivals India, reigniting the country’s cricketing spirit and paving the way for the continuation of the tenth edition of the domestic tournament.
According to reliable sources, the PSL management has reached out to franchise owners, indicating preparations are underway to resume the tournament. PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer has reportedly directed all franchises to remain on standby.
“The arrangements are being made — I will provide complete details shortly. PSL will go ahead,” Naseer was quoted as saying.
The PSL was abruptly postponed yesterday due to undisclosed reasons, leading to a temporary suspension of matches. Foreign players and staff had been flown out to Dubai aboard Pakistan Armed Forces aircraft, following the announcement.
In light of the new developments, all foreign players have been advised to remain at their current locations and await further instructions. The decision to potentially resume PSL comes as cricket fans across Pakistan celebrate the national team’s morale-boosting win over India, which appears to have influenced the league’s revival plans.
More details regarding venues, fixtures, and logistics are expected to be announced soon.
