ADCR Warns Against Illegal Construction in Murree

Rawalpindi: Nobody would be allowed to indulge in illegal construction activities in Murree, said Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR) Capt (retd) Qasim Ijaz on Saturday.
On the special directives of the Punjab Government and Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi, ADCR Murree, conducted a thorough inspection of various areas in Murree on Friday night.
The areas covered during the review included Jhika Gali, Masiyari, Express Highway, Shawala, and Fourth View Road. The primary focus of the inspection was to assess and address the issue of illegal construction.
The Murree administration had initiated a comprehensive operation against illegal construction, emphasizing strict adherence to the law in different parts of Murree. Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi emphasized that no tolerance would be shown toward illegal construction activities.

Qasim Ijaz, providing updates on the ongoing efforts, mentioned that strict legal actions were being taken against individuals violating construction regulations. He highlighted a complete ban on construction activities and the transportation of construction materials into Murree.
In addition to demolishing illegal constructions, the authorities were actively seizing construction materials involved in unauthorized projects, as stated by the ADCR.
Assistant Commissioner Murree, Captain (Retd) Abdul Wahab Khan, and officers from various departments such as Municipality, Police, Civil Defence, were present during the inspection, demonstrating a collaborative approach to enforcing the directives and ensuring the success of the operation against illegal construction in Murree.
