News Desk
Islamabad: Tanveer Syed, a distinguished Pakistani television and film actor, recently expressed his admiration for Sajal Aly, saying, “Sajal Aly is my favorite actor. I once saw her in a drama about a character aspiring to become an actor. Although I’ve forgotten the name of the drama, it left a lasting impression. Working with her confirmed her brilliance as an actor. I also admire Sabeena Farooq, with whom I recently worked on Mann Jogi.”
Tanveer Syed began his acting career with PTV’s acclaimed drama serial Fard E Jurm. While he appeared in several other PTV dramas that went relatively unnoticed, he has recently gained popularity for his roles in Jevan Nagar, Breaking News, Zard Patton Ka Bunn, Gentleman, and Mann Jogi. His performances as Meenu’s father in Zard Patton Ka Bunn and as a formidable minister in Gentleman have received significant acclaim from fans.
Recently, Tanveer Syed appeared on Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube show, hosted by Rabia Mughni. During the interview, he discussed his roles in Zard Patton Ka Bunn and Gentleman, and expressed his admiration for Sajal Aly and Sabeena Farooq.
Regarding his role as Meenu’s father in Zard Patton Ka Bunn, Tanveer shared, “Zard Patton Ka Bunn conveys a beautiful message. My character, Meenu’s father, is a carefree gambler, but he is fortunate to have a daughter like Meenu. He loves her deeply because she reminds him of his own mother, a sentiment he will reveal to her soon.”
Tanveer described Gentleman as a drama exploring the underworld, bureaucracy, and the political realm. He explained, “My character, Munna, presents a softer side, and I won’t disclose his future plans as they are integral to the unfolding story. For more details about Iqbal Munna, you should ask Haissam Hussain.”
Reflecting on his experience with Gentleman, he said, “Gentleman was the project that brought me to Karachi for the first time, and it was a remarkable experience working with such respect and protocol. Collaborating with Haissam Hussain was a privilege, and I feel fortunate to have worked with esteemed directors like Haissam Hussain, Wajahat Hussain, Saifee Hassan, Kashif Nisar, and Marina Khan.”
