Actor Saif Ali Khan Hospitalized After Stabbing Incident

Islamabad: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was severely injured after being stabbed six times by an alleged intruder during a break-in attempt at his Bandra home, shared with wife Kareena Kapoor, early Thursday morning. According to the latest reports, the actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital around 3:30 am by his son Ibrahim and a household staff member.
Police sources confirmed that the break-in occurred at approximately 2:30 am. Ibrahim, who does not live at the residence, hurried to Bandra upon learning about the incident and took his father to the hospital. Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the COO of Lilavati Hospital, provided this information.
In an official statement issued by Saif Ali Khan’s team on Thursday morning, they said: “There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently undergoing surgery in the hospital. We request the media and fans to be patient as this is a police matter, and we will keep you updated on the situation.”
Saif Ali Khan is currently in surgery at Lilavati Hospital. Dr. Niraj Uttamani explained that the actor sustained six injuries, two of which are deeper, including one near his spine. There is also an injury to his neck, which is being evaluated.
The surgery, which began at 5:30 am, is being carried out by neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anaesthetist Dr. Nisha Gandhi. The full extent of the injuries will be known once the surgery is complete.
An anonymous doctor from Lilavati Hospital also revealed to HT that a piece of the knife was found lodged in Saif’s body and is still being examined. However, the actor is able to move his limbs, indicating that his spine appears to be unaffected.
