Academic Year Begins in Punjab Amidst Book Shortage Crisis
News Desk
Rawalpindi: The new academic year has commenced across Punjab today (Monday). Unfortunately, 48,000 schools in the region have faced a setback as they did not receive free books for the current academic year.
This has compelled students to attend school without the necessary textbooks.
Traditionally, the Punjab Textbook Board is responsible for publishing and distributing free books to schools.
However, this year, the distribution process faced delays, resulting in students being without their essential learning materials.
Typically, free books are delivered to school warehouses before the academic year begins. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, including delays in the arrival of the new curriculum, schools have yet to receive the necessary course materials.
This situation underscores the importance of timely distribution of educational resources and highlights the need for efficient systems to ensure that students have access to essential learning materials from the start of the academic year.
