‘Abduction’ of Four Hindu Minors in Sindh Sparks Outcry
News Desk
Sanghar: Rights advocacy group Bardasht has expressed deep concern and strongly condemned the recent alleged abduction of three minor Hindu girls and one minor Hindu boy from Shahdadpur, District Sanghar, Sindh.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Bardasht said that the abduction of children belonging to a minority community is a serious violation of constitutional protections and reflects a growing sense of insecurity among Pakistan’s religious minorities, particularly in Sindh.

“The Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal protection to all citizens, including minority communities,” the statement read. “However, targeted incidents such as the abduction of Hindu businessmen, minor Hindu girls, and the increasing number of forced conversions and underage marriages continue to occur, undermining the rule of law and fundamental rights.”
Calling for immediate and decisive action, Bardasht urged the Government of Pakistan to:
- Ensure the safe recovery and return of the abducted children to their families.
- Take strict legal action against those involved in the abductions.
- Implement long-term and effective mechanisms to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
“It is the state’s duty to protect all its citizens, especially the most vulnerable,” the statement emphasized. “Bardasht stands in solidarity with the affected families and all minority communities facing violence, discrimination, and fear.”
The organization also urged civil society, media, and human rights defenders to amplify the voices of marginalized communities and hold institutions accountable for failures in protection and justice.
