Abducted Infant Recovered Within 24 Hours in Faisalabad

Faisalabad: The local police on Tuesday recovered a two-month-old baby girl within 24 hours of her abduction from the Children Hospital and arrested the woman allegedly involved in the crime.

Addressing a press briefing at the Police Lines Community Center, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Akhtar Sukhera and City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar said the infant, identified as Zenisha, was abducted from the Medicine Ward of the Children Hospital.

They said the Airport Police registered a case immediately after receiving the complaint and launched a comprehensive operation, utilizing modern investigative techniques and technical resources to trace the suspect.

As a result of swift action, police arrested the female suspect, Hafeezan Bibi, and safely recovered the baby within less than 24 hours of the incident. The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.

Appreciating the prompt and professional response of the police team, CPO Sahibzada Bilal Umar announced a special cash reward of Rs500,000 for the officers involved in the successful recovery operation.

RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhera congratulated the CPO and his team, describing the recovery as a commendable achievement and a testament to the police force’s commitment to ensuring public safety.
