Rawalpindi: Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi on Wednesday assured traders at Pirwadhai that their concerns over the establishment of the Para Force office within the General Bus Stand premises would be taken up with the relevant authorities.
During a visit to the site, Abbasi clarified that the Para Force office would be built but regretted that Hydel Park and its approved map had been dismantled for the project. He pledged to discuss the traders’ grievances with the Rawalpindi administration for early resolution.
Highlighting the government’s focus on public welfare, Abbasi said Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif had been introducing initiatives to serve citizens. He added that Rs 140 million had been allocated for the renovation and beautification of the bus stand and expressed satisfaction over the cleanliness arrangements at the terminal.
