Abbasi Visits Blast Victims as Islamabad Steps Up Security

Islamabad: During his visit, the minister met the wounded victims, prayed for their early and complete recovery, and expressed solidarity with the affected families. He assured them of the government’s full support in this difficult time.

Hanif Abbasi also offered prayers for those martyred in the blast, asking Allah Almighty to elevate their ranks and grant them a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. 

Strongly condemning the attack, he said terrorism could never shake the resolve of the nation.

“Such cowardly acts cannot weaken our morale; instead, they further unite the nation,” he said, adding that terrorists would never succeed in their malicious designs.

 The minister emphasized that terrorism has no religion or nationality and stands in complete contradiction to the teachings of humanity and Islam.

During his interaction with the injured and their families, Abbasi listened to their concerns and issued on-the-spot instructions to hospital administrations to ensure the best possible medical treatment and care.

SSP Reviews Security at Churches

Meanwhile, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police further tightened security across the federal capital. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, reviewed security arrangements at churches and other places of worship to ensure the safety of worshippers in the aftermath of the blast.

An official told APP that the SSP visited several churches and worship places, inspected security deployments and reviewed precautionary measures in place to protect religious congregations.

He interacted with police personnel on duty and directed them to remain fully alert, maintain strict vigilance, and ensure effective checking at all entry and exit points.

SSP Qazi also ordered enhanced patrolling around sensitive locations and stressed that protecting citizens and worshippers remains a top priority of Islamabad Police.

He called for courteous behaviour towards the public and religious communities, noting that ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for people of all faiths reflects the spirit of people-friendly policing.

He reiterated that Islamabad Police are fully committed to safeguarding lives, property and religious freedoms, and warned that no negligence would be tolerated in the performance of security duties.
