Mirpurkhas: In the fertile heartland of Sindh, where tradition and generosity are woven into the cultural fabric, Faisal Rajar stands out as a modern-day philanthropist with a deeply rooted sense of responsibility.

A landlord by heritage and a humanitarian by choice, Rajar has devoted his life to uplifting underprivileged communities across education, healthcare, disaster management, and social welfare.

Born on June 6, 1973, in Mirpurkhas, Faisal Rajar is the son of landlord Muhammad Saleh Rajar. His ancestral village, Qaiser Khan Rajar, now forms part of Mirpurkhas city — a transformation that mirrors his own journey from traditional landowner to progressive social contributor.

Known for his refined demeanor and expansive worldview, Rajar is also an avid traveler who has visited numerous countries, absorbing ideas and experiences that shape his outlook on development and community welfare. Fluent in Sindhi, Urdu, English, and Russian, he bridges local tradition with global perspective.

A Landlord with a Difference

Managing a 1,200-acre estate, Faisal Rajar has redefined what it means to be a landlord in Sindh. Rather than concentrating wealth, he has redistributed opportunity — dividing land into smaller plots, often granting up to 10 acres at a time to farmers and deserving families.

Payments are collected only after harvest, ensuring that farmers are not burdened before they earn.

His generosity extends beyond land. His home is known as a gathering place where hundreds of friends, associates, and visitors are welcomed with warmth. For Rajar, hospitality is not formality; it is philosophy.

Investing in Opportunity

Believing that sustainable change begins with education, Rajar has made landmark contributions to academic institutions.

He donated one acre of land to establish a school of The Citizens Foundation (TCF) in his village, providing quality education free of cost to children of farmers and low-income families.

Understanding the importance of disaster preparedness in Sindh, he also donated one acre to HANDS for a Disaster Management Center, strengthening community resilience.

His contributions to healthcare are equally significant. He funded the construction of a dispensary building operated by HINDS, offering maternal and child healthcare, disease diagnosis, and treatment services to rural populations.

For youth empowerment, Rajar donated one acre of land to ZEB Tech to establish vocational and arts training programs, equipping young people with practical skills to secure livelihoods.

Perhaps most notably, he donated 17 acres of land — worth crores of rupees — to Sukkur IBA University, facilitating the establishment of schools, colleges, and higher education institutions in Mirpurkhas. His vision has helped transform his ancestral village into an educational hub.

Rajar’s philanthropy extends to institutions that care for society’s most vulnerable. He actively supports SOS Village Jamshoro, which provides shelter and education to orphaned children.

He also contributes to Dar-ul-Sukoon and Aghosh Rashidabad, supporting children and families in need across Sindh. Numerous schools and individual students benefit from his ongoing financial assistance.

Leadership and Affiliations

Beyond philanthropy, Faisal Rajar plays an active role in civic and professional bodies. He is a life member of the Pakistan Horticulture Society, Pakistan Engineering Council, Mirpurkhas Gymkhana, and Mirpurkhas Arts Council. He also serves on the Finance and Planning Committee of Mirpurkhas University, acts as Ambassador for Sindh Integrated Emergency Services, and is a member of the German Agriculture Society.

These affiliations reflect his diverse interests — from agriculture and engineering to arts and emergency services — all tied together by a commitment to public service.

A Philosophy of Giving

What sets Faisal Rajar apart is not merely the scale of his donations but the spirit behind them. Known for his humility and accessibility, he lives by a simple creed: life is about giving, not taking.

In a region often marked by inequality, Rajar’s work represents a model of responsible landownership and compassionate leadership. His efforts to empower farmers, educate children, support healthcare, and nurture institutions embody the enduring philanthropic tradition of Sindh — and offer a blueprint for future generations.

Through vision, generosity, and unwavering dedication, Faisal Rajar continues to shape not only the landscape of Mirpurkhas but the lives of thousands who call Sindh home.
