A citizen seeks details for the appointment of federal ministers

A citizen has filed an information request with the Cabinet Division seeking details about the terms and conditions under which MNAs and technocrats are assigned ministries.

Boota Imtiaz Masih, a resident of Hyderabad, in his information request which he made under the Right to Information law, requested the Federal Secretary to provide information as to who has the final authority regarding the appointment of ministries?

Boota also requested the secretary to provide information on what educational standards, experience, conditions or rules and regulations have been followed for the appointment of Federal Ministers by which the important responsibilities are assigned to them?

Boota Imtiaz, a social worker and human rights activist from Hyderabad, Sindh, filed a petition with Cabinet Division, under Article 19-A of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Federal Access to Information Act, 2017, by a registered  letter no. GL 88132538 Pakistan Post. In the letter specific questions are asked regarding the selection of Federal Ministers for more than 30 ministries  of the country.

Imtiaz also requested the Secretary Cabinet Division to provide the said information within 10 days as per Section 14 (1) of the Federal Right to Information Act, 2017.
