Smartphone claims life In Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: A man committed suicide after a harsh exchange with a shopkeeper over his failure to pay mobile phone installments.
According to Rescue-1122 sources, 60-year-old Saeed, a resident of Chak No. 7, Sargodha Road, had purchased a smartphone on installments a few months ago, but he failed to make the installments as per his commitment due to a lack of money.
The local police sources said that the shopkeeper was repeatedly demanding the installment money from Saeed, and upon his failure to pay, he harshly scolded him.
Getting disheartened over the issue, Saeed allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling fan of his room.
On information, the local police rushed to the scene and shifted the body to the hospital for medical and legal formalities. Later, the body was handed over to the family. Further investigation was underway at the time of this report.
