Monsoon Rains Expected Till July 17 With Occasional Gaps

Islamabad: Heavy rains may cause urban flooding in low-lying areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Gujranwala, and Lahore until July 17 and may trigger landslides in the vulnerable areas of Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and hilly areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during the period.
Rain and wind-thundershowers (with a few heavy falls) are predicted from July 12th (evening or night) to July 17th, with occasional gaps in Kashmir (Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur), Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Kasur, and Okara.
Farmers are encouraged to plan their activities while taking the weather forecast into consideration. Travelers and tourists are advised to use additional caution to stay safe during the wet season.
Wind, rain and dust storms can harm solar panels and other unsecured structures. During windstorms and severe rains, the general population is encouraged to stay in safe locations.
