Additionally, he inaugurated the District Health Authority’s screening facility at Industrial Estates Taxila.

The DC directed the Drug Centre officials to provide the best amenities possible to the centre’s drug users. Cheema stated that in addition to treatment, drug patients need counselling.

Meanwhile, inaugurating the health screening camp for stone-crushing workers, DC stated that free-of-cost diabetes, blood pressure, TB, hepatitis B and C, HIV, and respiratory diseases tests are available at the screening camp.

Hasan stated that prompt disease diagnosis makes early treatment possible and added that “if the condition is diagnosed after the screening, free medications will be given for treatment.”

Furthermore, DC Cheema directed the officials of the town municipal administration in Taxila to plant trees on both sides of the road. He directed the Assistant Commissioner Taxila to cover all manholes on the footpaths on the sides of the roads and ensure the cleanliness of drains and nullahs to avoid rainwater accumulation.
