PNCA Begins Kashmiri Cultural Programs in Support of Kashmiris

Islamabad: The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan will work together to host a three-day cultural festival to commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day from February 3–5,.
PNCA Director General Ayub Jamali said, “Speeches, tableaus, Mili Naghmay, puppet shows, exhibitions of paintings and photographs, stage plays, folk performances, music, and songs of solidarity will all be featured at the event; which also aims to engage young people in healthy activities while highlighting Kashmiris’ cultural heritage and problems.”
The events are planned to show support from a purely cultural standpoint for the Kashmiri people who are fighting for their right to self-determination in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. The program’s main goal is to provide fun-lovers with educational entertainment while showcasing the nation’s cultural heritage and traditions. It will also honour the leaders of the Kashmiri and sub-continental liberation movements, Ayub Jamali added.
For the purpose of promoting Pakistan’s tangible and intangible cultural legacy, these programmes are a regular element of PNCA’s national day celebrations. They feature a variety of cultural and entertainment activities. The events are intended to honour Kashmiri martyrs and freedom fighters and to express support for Kashmiri brothers fighting against Indian brutality and occupation.
“As performers perform Kashmiri folk, traditional music, and songs to show support for Kashmiris striving for their legal right to self-determination, several festival parts will focus on the horrors committed by the Indian army in occupied Kashmir,” stated Director General.
DG Jamali urged the international community to participate in resolving the Kashmir conflict through UN resolutions because it blatantly violates human rights.
