Cold, Partly Cloudy Weather To Prevail In Most KP

Peshawar: The Provincial Meteorological Center(PMC) Peshawar on Friday projected that most districts in the province would have cold, partly overcast weather, with severely cold conditions in mountainous and upper districts.

Light rain with light snow over the hills is likely to occur over Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Malakand, Bunner, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Hangu, Kurram, North and South Waziristan districts.

PMC stated that scattered light rain/drizzle with isolated slight thunderstorms and wind is likely to occur in the evening/nightover Haripur, Swabi, Mardan, Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Bannu, LakkiMarwat, Tank and D.I. Khan districts.

Over the past 24 hours, the most parts of the province has seen chilly, partly overcast weather; nevertheless, upper parts and hilly areashave experienced extremely cold weather.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at different stations of the KP are as follows:

The lowest temperatures recorded in the province are -16°C in Kalam, -09 in Chitral and -08 in Tirah valley of Khyber district.
