Rain & Snowfall Over Hills Forecasted In Upper Parts Of Country

Islamabad: Within the next 24 hours, rain with snow on hills is predicted in Upper Punjab, Islamabad, Potohar region, Upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB); according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Some places in Kashmir are anticipated to get moderate to heavy rain or snowfall. Other parts of the country are predicted to see cold and dry weather.
The synoptic situation indicates that a westerly wave is affecting the country’s upper parts and is likely to continue there for the next few days.
Rain with snow covered hills occurred sporadically over the past 24 hours in KP, Kashmir, Murree, and Chillas. Cold weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.
