Rain In Northeast Punjab Beginning Wednesday: PMD

Lahore: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast a rainy spell for the North East Punjab Murree, Galliyat, Potohar region, and northeast Punjab starting on Wednesday. After the spell, foggy conditions are expected to clear up in plain areas of the country.
The country’s northern areas are under the presence of a shallow westerly wave. A second westerly wave is predicted to hit north Balochistanon Tuesday (evening/night), presumably gripping upper parts on Wednesday.
Rain-thunderstorms (with snow covering hills) are predicted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north-Balochistan, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, North East Punjab Murree, Galliyat, Potohar region and northeast Punjab on Wednesday and Thursday
According to PMD sources, the foggy conditions are likely to disappear in plain country areas after the spell. The majority of the country could experience cold, dry weather during the next 24 hours, while the western and upper districts should expect cloudy weather.
Minimum temperature in the federal capital remained 6°C, while maximum touched 17°C on Monday.
