Islamabad: A private school in Sadiqabad faced violence from parents after its administration attempted to address student drug use on campus, according to a report by 24NewsHD TV on Thursday.

The use of “Ice” — a street name for methamphetamine — is becoming alarmingly common among the country’s youth. In this incident, drug suppliers reportedly gained access to the school through female students.

The school administration filed a written complaint with the Sadiqabad police, stating that a knife and a suspicious bottle were recovered from the bag of a seventh-grade student. The bottle allegedly contained an intoxicant that caused the girls who consumed it to lose consciousness.

In response, the school called in the parents of the student involved to inform them of the incident. Instead of cooperating, the parents reacted violently, attacking and vandalizing the school premises.

According to the school, CCTV footage captured several men entering the campus and participating in the assault, which left at least one teacher injured.

The administration claims it is now facing serious threats, including death threats, and is urging authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.
