Pakistan Railways to Run Five Special Trains for Eid

Islamabad: Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of five special trains from June 2 to June 4 to accommodate increased travel demand during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays, an official spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday.

The initiative aims to facilitate passengers, ease congestion, and ensure safe and smooth travel across major cities during the festive season.

According to the schedule released:

The first special train will depart from Karachi Cantt at 1 p.m. on June 2, heading to Lahore.

The second special train will leave Quetta at 10 am on June 3, bound for Peshawar Cantt.

The third train will depart Lahore at 5 pm on June 3 for Karachi Cantt.

The fourth special train will set off from Karachi City at 8 pm on June 3, en route to Rawalpindi.

The fifth and final special train will leave Karachi Cantt at 8 pm on June 4, again headed for Lahore.

Pakistan Railways has arranged coaches from workshops for the first, second, and fourth trains, while the third and fifth services will utilize existing Eid special train rakes.

The department said the move is part of its ongoing efforts to improve public service and provide safe, affordable transportation during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
