Did Pakistan Capture an Indian Pilot During Recent Military Conflict?
News Desk
Islamabad: Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), clarified that Pakistan has not captured any Indian pilot during the recent clashes with India. He addressed rumors circulating on social media, which claimed that an Indian female pilot, Shivangi Singh, had been arrested by Pakistan after her aircraft was shot down.
In a press conference, Lt Gen Chaudhry firmly stated, “I can confirm, without a doubt, that we do not have any pilot in custody. This is purely social media speculation and part of a wider campaign of fake news and propaganda originating from various sources.”
The Indian government also dismissed these claims as false and urged the public not to fall for the misinformation.
When asked about the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) statement regarding ongoing operations despite a ceasefire agreement, Lt Gen Chaudhry responded that the Pakistani armed forces remain on high alert and ready to defend against any aggression, noting, “We have demonstrated this readiness on the ground multiple times.”
