In Rawalpindi, a sudden fire broke out in the storeroom of the officers’ wards at Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH), located within the jurisdiction of the Waris Khan Police Station. According to initial reports, the blaze was caused by an electrical short circuit.

Rescue 1122 teams responded promptly and managed to bring the fire under control before it could spread further. Thanks to their timely and professional efforts, no injuries were reported and damage was minimal. The hospital administration confirmed that only a few files and a small amount of equipment stored in the room were affected.

In a separate incident, a passenger bus traveling from Sahniya Wala to Islamabad caught fire near Kalar Kahar. The blaze, also believed to be caused by a short circuit, led to a quick response by the National Highways and Motorways Police.

A spokesperson for the Motorway Police confirmed that all 48 passengers on board were safely evacuated without injury. “Our personnel acted swiftly to ensure the safety of citizens,” the spokesperson stated, adding that an investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
