Glaciers Cleared, Saif-ul-Muluk Lake Open for Visitors Again

Peshawar: The iconic Saif-ul-Muluk Lake, nestled in the scenic Balakot region, has reopened to tourists after a six-month closure due to harsh winter conditions.

Officials from the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) confirmed on Wednesday that access to the lake has been restored following the clearance of the Naran Valley road. The KDA successfully removed six small and large glaciers obstructing the route, making it navigable for jeeps.

Tourists can now visit the snow-clad lake and enjoy its breathtaking beauty amid the region’s refreshing cool climate. The reopening also marks the official start of the tourist season at one of Pakistan’s most picturesque natural destinations.
