Christian Community a Proud Asset to Pakistan, Says PM on Easter

Islamabad:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended warm Easter greetings to the Christian community in Pakistan and across the globe, highlighting the occasion as a powerful reminder of the timeless teachings of Jesus.

In a message shared on Easter Sunday, the Prime Minister described Easter as a symbol of renewal, hope, and universal values such as sacrifice, forgiveness, and peace.

“Easter is a day that reminds us of the noble teachings of Hazrat Jesus (AS), whose message of mercy, humility, and love continues to guide us even today,” said PM Sharif.

He underscored the shared responsibility of all citizens—regardless of faith—to uphold the values of peace, tolerance, and respect for human dignity.

The Prime Minister also paid tribute to the Christian community’s contributions to Pakistan’s development, acknowledging their hard work, honesty, and unwavering dedication.

“The Christian community has played a vital role in building and advancing our nation. Their sacrifices and efforts remain a proud asset for Pakistan,” he stated.

Expressing confidence in the community’s continued role in national progress, PM Sharif said, “I am certain they will keep contributing toward the creation of a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.”

He concluded by emphasizing the importance of unity and mutual respect among diverse communities, noting that the universal values embodied in Easter transcend religious boundaries and foster harmony among nations.
