Karachi to Hit 39°C as Heatwave Sweeps Sindh

Karachi: Temperatures in Karachi are expected to climb to 39°C on Saturday, as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts a significant rise in temperatures across Karachi and other regions of Sindh.
The weather department reports that hot and dry winds will be blowing from the northwest in Karachi today, with the seabreeze expected to return by evening. As of now, winds are blowing at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour with a humidity level of 71%.
The PMD has also forecast a temperature increase of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average for Sindh and southern Punjab. Extreme heat is expected to affect various areas in Balochistan, both in the south and north.
In particular, temperatures are expected to reach 44°C in Mithi, Sindh, and Turbat, Balochistan. Other districts, including Lasbela and Chhore (41°C), Dadu and Nawabshah (40°C), and Karachi and Thatta (39°C), will also experience sweltering heat.
Health experts have advised the public to avoid physical exertion during peak heat hours and to stay indoors as much as possible to minimize the risk of heat-related health issues.
