Islamabad: A popular Pakistani YouTuber, Rajab Butt, has publicly apologized from Makkah for his unintentional actions regarding the launch of his perfume named “295,” which sparked a religious uproar and led to accusations of blasphemy.

For those unfamiliar, “295” refers to Section 295 of Pakistan’s blasphemy law, which is tied to the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) Section 295-A, addressing offenses related to insulting religious beliefs.

Rajab Butt now finds himself in serious legal trouble after the perfume’s controversial name triggered religious debates. TLP (Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan) leader Haider Ali Shah Gillani has filed an FIR against him, accusing him of disrespecting religious sentiments and hate speech.

In light of the seriousness of the situation, Rajab posted a video on his social media from Makkah, where he offered a heartfelt apology. He began by reciting Darood-e-Sharif and affirmed that his wealth, life, parents, and every drop of blood are devoted to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In the video, he expressed regret for unintentionally hurting people’s feelings and swore by the sacredness of Makkah that he had no ill intentions. Rajab then appealed to the Punjab government, the Army chief, and religious scholars to reconsider the accusations against him, seeking justice.

He concluded by asking his fans to cleanse their hearts and expressed deep sorrow for the offense caused by his actions. It’s worth noting that the perfume was actually named after the late Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala’s popular song, “295.”
