PDMA Issues Alert for Rainfall Across Punjab

Islamabad: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a warning for widespread rainfall across Punjab from March 25 to 27, advising authorities to be prepared for potential disruptions.
The Meteorological Department predicts that most districts in Punjab will experience rainfall during this period. In addition, Murree, Galiyat, and other mountainous regions are expected to see both rain and snowfall.
The affected districts include Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Sialkot. In southern Punjab, the rainfall is expected to impact Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Layyah, Sahiwal, and Pakpattan.
In response to the forecast, PDMA has issued an alert to local administrations and rescue agencies across Punjab to remain on high alert and implement necessary safety measures. The authority has also advised residents to exercise caution, particularly in areas prone to flooding, such as hilly and low-lying regions.
