Naib Tehsildar Among Eight Booked for Fraudulently Selling Widow’s Plot

Faisalabad: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has registered a case against eight individuals, including a Naib Tehsildar, Sub-Registrar, Registry Clerk, and Patwari, for allegedly depriving a widow of her plot through fraudulent means.
According to ACE sources, Nafeesa Tariq, a resident of Jinnah Colony, Faisalabad, lodged a complaint with the ACE Faisalabad Region Director. She stated that after the death of her husband, Muhammad Tariq, in 2019, she inherited a plot in the Executive Block of Gulberg Green, Islamabad.
She alleged that Faizan Shakoor Sindhu, a resident of Jinnah Colony, conspired with revenue department officials, including Naib Tehsildar Rana Muhammad Irfan, Sub-Registrar Urban-1 Malik Shahid, Registry Clerk of Urban-1 Faisalabad, and Halqa Patwari, along with Zaheer-ud-Din Advocate, Asad Iqbal from Firdous Colony, and Muhammad Adil Hafeez from Chishti Chowk, Ghulam Muhammad Abad. They allegedly forged documents and fraudulently sold her plot to Umar Khayyam.
Following her complaint, the ACE registered a case under Sections 420, 468, and 471 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and Section 5/2/47 of the Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA).
Further investigations are underway to apprehend the accused.
