Man ‘Strangles Minor Daughter’ in Faisalabad

Faisalabad: A man allegedly strangled his four-year-old daughter in the City Jaranwala police station limits on Saturday.
According to police, Zakir Hussain, a resident of Chak No. 240-GB, was an addict and demanded money from his family to purchase narcotics. When they refused, he, in a fit of rage, strangled his daughter, Aaliya, while she was sleeping.
On the complaint of the victim’s mother, Mafia Bibi, police have registered a case and arrested the accused.
Police Arrest 24 Criminals in Sargodha Crackdown
Police arrested 24 criminals, including 12 proclaimed offenders and four court absconders, during a crackdown in various areas under their jurisdiction.
According to officials, the arrested individuals include Imran, Ahmed, Nouman, Naeem, Shakeel, Raheel, Rehman, Rehmat, Amjed, Adnan, Iqbal, Saqib, Saqlain, Majeed, and others.
Police recovered 345 liters of liquor, 200 empty bottles, 12 pistols, 11 rounds, 110 bullets, 2.4 kg of hashish, 2.3 kg of heroin, and valuables worth millions of rupees from their possession.
Further investigations are underway.
