Muzaffargarh: District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Muhammad Rizwan Khan has dismissed former SHO of Qureshi Police Station, Sub-Inspector Sabira Klasra, over proven charges of corruption and links with criminals.
A departmental inquiry, conducted by senior officers, found Klasra guilty of facilitating criminals and maintaining close ties with offenders. Despite being given an opportunity to defend herself, she failed to present credible evidence.
Following the inquiry, the findings were presented in an orderly room session, where the DPO ordered her dismissal. He reiterated that the police force would not tolerate corruption and vowed strict action against officers involved in criminal activities.
Inspector, Constables Sacked Over Negligence
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Captain (Retired) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has rejected the appeals of an inspector and seven constables, upholding their dismissal from service.
Inspector Asim Inam from Khanewal police was repeatedly summoned to explain his position on charges of dereliction of duty but failed to appear, leading to his dismissal.
The appeals of seven dismissed constables—Rizwan Akram, Israr Ahmad, Tariq Ali, Munawar Hussain, Muhammad Amjad, Samiullah, and Shahzad Hussain—were also rejected.
However, some appeals were accepted, including that of a sub-inspector whose dismissal was overturned due to unproven charges. Additionally, ASIs Mazhar Abbas and Muhammad Aslam were reinstated to their original rank of sub-inspector, along with some other officials.
