Attock: A shocking incident of domestic violence has shaken the quiet village of Kenal, where a husband’s demand for money turned into a brutal assault on his wife.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by the victim on Thursday, she had received a stipend of Rs 30,000 from the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), which her husband, Muhammad Rafeeq, demanded she hand over for his personal use.

When the victim refused, Rafeeq allegedly unleashed a vicious attack, beating her mercilessly and threatening to take her life.

The courageous victim reported the incident to the New Airport Police station, leading to Rafeeq’s swift arrest.
