Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has announced the 8070 Ramadan Relief Package 2025, a Rs20 billion initiative aimed at supporting low-income families ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
The package will provide cash assistance of Rs10,000 and subsidies on essential food items through a streamlined digital distribution system, replacing long queues at Utility Stores.
Two-Tier Relief Initiative
The government has structured the 8070 Ramadan Relief Package 2025 into two key components:
- Cash Assistance:
Rs10,000 will be directly provided to 40 lac eligible families to help cover household expenses during Ramadan.
- Ration Subsidy:
Subsidies on essential food items such as flour, sugar, pulses, ghee, and rice, reducing costs for low-income households.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the 8070 Ramadan Relief Package, applicants must:
Possess a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
Be registered under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) or Ehsaas Programme.
Not be receiving financial aid from any other government relief program.
Registration Process

The government has urged eligible families to register early to avoid delays, as the deadline is approaching.
